Rhoda Smackum is the founder of Career By Design. She specializes in coaching career transitions for professionals in all industries. Rhoda has worked with many organizations, such as the, Black Data Processing Association, Women-for-Hire, Business and Professional Women, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Marymount University, Life Skills Workshop, Inc., and National Urban League to deliver career transition services designed to help men and women find jobs or change careers.

She
is sought out by professional associations to facilitate workshops and seminars on work/life balance, conflict management, job search, personal marketing, interviewing, career transition, image and professionalism. She has contributed specialized articles for Business and Professional Women, Essence and Black Enterprise Magazines. She has been a guest on WNAV's Real Talk for Real People live radio show and WHUR's Insight Segment, The Daily Drum. 

Rhoda is an Associate Certified Career Coach, a Certified Global Career Development Facilitator and holds a Master's Degree in Administrative Management. She lives in Maryland and enjoys serving in her church, spending time with her family and friends, attending concerts and going to the theatre.
